Leaving highschool was exciting, sad, and a little worrisome, but then the thought of making new friends made everything more bearable. And I made some wonderful friends.. Annie, Irma, Bobot, Jo, Offie, Mayen, Rocky, Gyda just to name a few. In 2003, I was able to get in touch with 4 of them, and I am still hopeful that  we'll find Offie, Jo, Gyda and Mayen.

Being away from home and highschool became a little easier after I met these "girls" !!!

After weeks of practice, we competed and did our rendition of "Bakyang bakya" & "Moonlight Serenade". We did not win but I remember us being the best dressed with our olive green satin, spaghetti strap dress !!! Guess who designed  and chose the color...

Navarra St. with Marie, Abeth , Jimmy and a whole bunch of us, "kids"from Naic. It was fun. We would all go home together on weekends,  sometimes all of us  packed on Doc. Balagtas's white volkswagen beetle... then one by one, we left for another boarding house. Marie and I stayed together till graduation. Even after we made other friends, we managed to make time to do things together; movies, cooking, shopping. I remember when she first told me about this guy from Laguna ; I've never seen her that happy and I knew that they would be a couple.. They got married a couple of years after that; reception by the beach...I miss that woman. She's a busy mom and hard to get a hold off...

That corner where the phone was ,had always been the busiest spot in the house. Just imagine one  phone with all of us "young kids", all expecting  and wanting to make a call. We had to pay for every call so we kept a tally sheet whenever we had to use the phone . I wonder who got to pay the most ???
If only there was a cell phone then; but the waiting and the anticipation was half the fun.
